Fly fishing adventures, tips, stories, and so much more, and complete with color photographs!
The author, G.R. "Murf" Murphy was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and grew up fishing, anywhere and everywhere, freshwater and saltwater. At the age of twenty-four, he joined the Charlotte Fire Department, where he also became an emergency medical technician as well as a swiftwater rescue technician.
So, who better to publish a book on staying safe on our streams and rivers?! The book contains good, solid advice and guidance, including topics to consider when preparing for your next adventure on the water. The book is fun to read with a good mix of factual guidance, a blend of wit and humor, and a dash or two of sarcasm (to spice it up!).
Now retired, Murf resides with his wife somewhere in the "Brushy Mountains" of North Carolina, fly fishing as much as possible.
"Try not to panic. Water does not get tired, but you will. Please don't leave trash behind. Don't spit into the wind."
